What matters.

The internet is back alhamdulillah! It feels like winning a gold medal when I finally figured things out after calling the technician for guidance to reset the connection.

So. Ramadhan Kareem. It's the 21st day of fasting now. Or is it the 22nd? I lost count. Nonetheless, it feels so quick. Feels like just yesterday the announcement of fasting day was done and it's leaving in few days. Yet I don't even have a clue on what day would hari raya be on. Absolutely following the flow~

There are many things that left me thinking, a usual. But today I'd like to write about things that actually matters. Well that doesn't sound right but let me explain.

In our world nowadays, our eyes are blurred with money, power, fame, luxuries and fun. Almost everybody looks for money in order to get something, like a car, or a house, or anything. The more expensive and exclusive a car is, the more it intrigues you. The bigger and taller a house is, the wider the area of the lawn is, the more it allures you. Who wouldn't want them? Only those who sees beyond these materials wouldn't.

Everytime I see an exclusive car on the road I'd turn my head even be it 270 degrees, admiring each inch of the car. And wishing that I, one day would get the chance to own one.

Ayah once said to me, 'later when you're older and have much money, don't spend it buying expensive cars. Help the needy first. Our relatives, or anyone'. I literally silently cried the moment he said that. But that wasn't the moment when I completely realized. How true his words are. I then asked myself, why do I want to own an expensive car? Because it would feel great. Like I'm owning the world. Because of the engine, the this and that, because it's gonna give me the best feeling I can tell!

But then I thought of the unfortunates. Doesn't have to go far to the Africa, even in this country itself there are people who eats scraps. How can a person lead an extra luxurious life, eating, and sleeping extra comfortably when there are people not far from their house eat and sleep in a cruel, nasty condition. One should at least help the needy when they own that much, even just a little. In fact, they, out of all people are the ones who fit the position the most.

We are here on this earth together, surrounded by people. We are to connect with each other, to balance things up.

O Humankind verily We! We have created you Of a male and female, and We have made you nations and tribes that ye might know one another. Verily the noblest of you with Allah is the most God-fearing of you; verily Allah is Knowing, Aware [49:13]
