For those who have watched Ombak Rindu probably are familiar with the phrase 'redha itu ikhlas, pasrah itu menyerah' which literally translated 'redha is ikhlas, surrender is giving up'.
When I watched this scene, and Lisa Surihani said it, it didn't quite hit me. I sensed no difference between the two. I don't know what it meant.
But when I am in this situation right now, where I'm currently, helplessly just waiting for my UPU result, it finally made sense.
Redha. Full of faith, you believe that anything that's gonna be given to you, from Him, is for the best. You fully submit yourself to Him, and without having any second thoughts nor regrets, will accept anything from Him with an open heart. Without even an ounce of bitterness. That is how sweet it is supposed to be.
While surrender, even the word itself sounds full of disappointments and remorse. It is when you fully give everything up, and unwillingly tries to console your heart to accept anything that's coming.Your heart is full with agony and pain, that you won't even care what's gonna happen next.
So that is all for tonight. Tomorrow sure is going to be one big day for me. May peace be upon you :)
